Default Diabetes - A disease you can beat!

With the growing problem of people getting diabetes, it has become more apparent that people need to live healthier lifestyles. Unfortunately it is a trend that if you are overweight, you have the most risk of obtaining diabetes and it isn't exactly fun to have something like that.

Your body needs to deal with absorbing all the food and drink you consume on a daily basis and when your body can't process it anymore or create any more sugar naturally, then you experience low insulin levels. What happens in short is that the glucose builds up in your body when it doesn't work properly and before long you will have diabetes.

Now there are several stages of diabetes you can get. About 5-10% of people in the United States are level one diabetes and it isn't fun.

Sure you may not have it now, but you don't want to become insulin-dependent at a later stage or find other health related problems develop because of your diabetes.

    So what can you do?

Yes! Eat healthy. Of course no one can completely live without that sweet cookie now and again, but consider your proportion sizes when eating food. Try and cut out some man-made sugar as there is a lot of sugar found in most processed foods in any case. If you are like me and love your coffee or tea and drink a few spoons of sugar with your hot beverage, try switching to sweetener tablets at first before gradually trying to cut the sugar from your favourite hot drink.

Before long sugar will not taste as good as it once used to.

Try and cut out on fizzy drinks like coca cola and fanta. This all helps in the long run. Not to mention is it better for your teeth!

Just by doing little bits, you can drastically reduce the chance of ever getting diabetes.

But never for one second imagine it will not happen to you.

It's better to look for moringa in your place. It's a herbal tea believed to help diabetic patients. Use coconut sugar or muscovado sugar and less on carbohydrates.

Since this disease is tagged as the "silent killer". It makes me much more scared than before because it will damage your internal organs slowly but surely.

What the difference between type 1 and type 2 diabetes?

I only know diabetes is caused by sugar and lack of exercise.

I have family history of diabetes. My late father was diabetic and my mother is also diabetic. The most scary thing about diabetes is when you get infection, the healing process is very slow when your blood sugar is going up and down. you can lost your leg from a tiny wound.
